Lauren Baxter, RDN, CD
Lauren Baxter is a 2018 graduate of the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point Dietetics program and a 2019 graduate of the UW Hospital and Clinics Dietetic Internship program in Madison. As a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, Lauren is passionate about healthful living and the importance of adequate nutrition.
Lauren’s personal philosophy on food and nutrition in health care is that it is most effective in a preventative capacity, rather than reactive. However, she also strongly believes in moderation and that all foods can fit into a balanced diet!
Dietetic interests include:
- Assessing nutritional needs, diet restrictions, and health plans
- Nutritional counselling and education
- Dietary plans and diet modifications
- Food selection and preparation
- Collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals to determine nutritional needs and diet restrictions of patients or clients
In her free time, Lauren enjoys hiking, kayaking, playing tennis (anything outdoors, really!), and, like any good dietitian, cooking, baking, and developing recipes.
