After college, he studied Hsing-I Ch’uan internal Kung Fu, and was licensed as an instructor. He married Peggy in 1992, after which time he and his family went to the American University of the Caribbean, where he received his Master’s degree in Medical Science and his M.D. in 2001, (having completed most of his clinical training rotations in England). He completed his Family Practice Residency (University of Wisconsin, Wausau) and has been Board-certified since 2006. He has worked as a family practitioner, Emergency Room physician, and acupuncturist. Peggy and their five children live on a hobby farm, where Peggy practices and teaches permaculture and sustainable farming, (and does permaculture design projects and feeds everyone very well).
