Janelle Prince

Janelle Prince, MSW LCSW

Janelle Prince is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and is a Certified Mental Health & Nutrition Clinical Specialist (CMHNCS). This certification reflects advanced coursework in integrative medicine, functional health, nutrition psychology, and mental health nutrition, equipping her with tools to integrate nutrition-informed approaches into mental health care. She completed her Master of Social Work with a clinical concentration in Mental Health at the University of Southern California and brings extensive experience from outpatient and school-based settings to her role as Clinical Director at Cornerstone Clinic.

Janelle serves patients ages 16 and older. Her therapeutic approach emphasizes collaboration—helping patients identify strengths, clarify goals, and create meaningful opportunities for healing and growth. Patients experience her as engaging, patient, and empathic, providing a safe and supportive space for care.

She is experienced in individual, group, and family therapy, utilizing cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, brief solution-focused therapy, and EMDR therapy. EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a highly effective treatment that supports recovery from many forms of trauma, such as accidents, medical procedures, abuse, or other life events, as well as conditions like PTSD, anxiety, depression, and phobias.

Janelle is also trained in the Gottman Method, an evidence-based approach to couples therapy. This method includes a thorough relationship assessment and research-based interventions designed to strengthen communication, deepen intimacy, and enhance empathy and understanding between partners.

Specialty areas include:

  • Trauma recovery (including PTSD, complex trauma, and trauma from life events such as abuse, accidents, or medical procedures)
  • Mood and anxiety disorders (depression, bipolar disorder, generalized anxiety, adjustment concerns)
  • Attention and self-regulation (ADHD, executive functioning, self-esteem)
  • Grief, loss, and life transitions
  • Couples and family therapy

Outside of her professional life, Janelle enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, playing piano, and reading.
