Frankie Weinberger

Frankie Weinberger, MPAS, PA-C

Frankie Weinberger is a board certified physician assistant with a master’s degree from Marquette University in Milwaukee in 2000. Since then she has worked mainly in outpatient internal medicine, family practice, allergy/immunology, and most recently in endocrinology at Mayo Clinic in Eau Claire, Wisconsin 2018-2025.

She holds certifications as Diplomate of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine, IFMCP (Institute of Functional Medicine Certified Practitioner), CBT-I trained clinician (cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia), and RYT500 (registered yoga teacher).

With her lifelong interest in holistic, integrative medicine, Frankie attended many conferences in integrative medicine, and then studied through the American College of Lifestyle Medicine and completed certification as a diplomate in lifestyle medicine in 2022. In 2023, she completed certification after several years of study with the Institute of Functional Medicine. She is currently completing a Fellowship in Functional & Integrative Psychiatry through Psychiatry Redefined, and she is continuing ongoing studies through the Kalish Institute of Functional Medicine

Frankie uses a functional and holistic medicine approach in her practice. Functional medicine looks upstream for dysfunction of major systems like the GI tract, hormones, immune system, energy production, and the cardiovascular system – and their root causes. Dysfunction is ideally treated upstream at the root causes, rather than just treating downstream by covering up the symptoms. Treatments used are as safe and natural as possible, as well as evidence-based. That being said, she fully recognizes the value of using conventional medicine when needed to optimize wellness and best support the body’s ability to heal. Her holistic approach means evaluating problems through the lens of body, mind and spirit, since we are so interconnected and every part affects every other part.

Frankie’s special interests include the following key areas of wellness and health:

  • Gastrointestinal health and nutrition
  • Hormonal system balance
  • Immune system health
  • Lifestyle medicine
  • Mental health
  • Women’s health

In her free time, Frankie enjoys spending time with family & friends, gardening organic edibles and native plants that promote pollinators, volunteering as a Master Gardener, hiking, biking, teaching yoga, and playing piano, organ, and singing at church.
