Cariesa Gross

Cariesa Gross, MA LPC-IT

Cariesa is a Licensed Professional Counselor-In Training (LPC-IT) practicing under the supervision of Janelle Prince. She earned her Master of Arts in Counseling from Crown College in Minnesota and completed her clinical training in Southern California.

Cariesa believes therapy should be a place where you can feel comfortable being yourself—without judgment and without pressure to have everything figured out. Her style is warm, compassionate, and collaborative. She takes time to understand what each patient is going through, what matters most to them, and what they would like to see change in their life.

She works with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, relationship concerns, life changes, and other challenges that can leave people feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of what to do next. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, Cariesa works alongside her patients to identify practical tools, better understand patterns in their thoughts and emotions, and build skills that can make everyday life feel more manageable.

Cariesa has a special interest in working with teens, college students, and young adults. She understands that these years can bring a lot of change and uncertainty—from academic and social pressures to relationships, independence, identity, and figuring out what comes next. She enjoys helping young people better understand themselves, build confidence, manage difficult emotions, and develop healthy ways of handling the challenges they face.

Her work is informed by approaches including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and mindfulness. In everyday terms, this means helping patients understand how their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors affect one another, learn ways to handle difficult emotions, and make choices that move them toward the kind of life they want to build.

Therapeutic interests include:

  • Adolescent & Teen Mental Health
  • College Students & Young Adults
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Life Transitions & Adjustment
  • Stress Management
  • Identity & Self-Confidence
  • Emotional Regulation
  • Relationship Concerns
  • Women’s Issues
  • Coping Skills
  • Restorative Practices

Outside of the office, Cariesa enjoys spending quality time with her family, traveling, reading, discovering new coffee shops, baking, and expressing her creativity through crafting and art.
