Heidi Filko, MSW APSW
Heidi Filko is an Advanced Practice Social Worker with a Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from the University of Arkansas and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. She completed her clinical internship at CW Solutions, where she gained valuable experience in the Family Preservation Therapy Program, working with children, at-risk youth, parents, couples, and families.
Heidi has also served as a CCS Case Manager, providing individual skill development and psychoeducation to both individuals and families. In addition, she has worked as a co-facilitator for a parenting program, a youth mentor, a nanny, and a Behavioral Technician specializing in Applied Behavioral Analysis Therapy for children with autism.
Heidi has a strong passion for working with children (ages 4+), parents, adults, and families. She often incorporates therapeutic play, art, and games into sessions to engage children and youth in the therapeutic process while helping them work toward their goals.
Taking a patient-centered approach, Heidi emphasizes patient strengths and tailors her therapeutic interventions based on individual needs, goals, and family dynamics. She utilizes a variety of evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness, Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and various family-based therapeutic techniques.
